West Coast Aquatics, a private swim club that focuses on competitive team
training had reached a critical decision point. They had delayed addressing
the badly deteriorated and leaking pool shell and aging plumbing, but were
also being sited by their HealthBoard for having unsafe operating conditions,
resulting from their crumbling concrete gutter. They were under pressure to
acquire the mandated repairs and to address as many other failures as possible
within their limited available funds. Because they are an indoor facility,
they were ideally suited for our DuraTech PVC Gutter/Grating System and
attached RenoSys PVC Membrane System. RenoSys Corporation had successfully
completed an almost identical conversion at Lakes High School in Seattle,
which served as excellent reference for them to visit in person.

The club's crumbling concrete gutter was demolished and replaced with a custom
fabricated PVC Gutter & Grating System, which also eliminated the aged and
failing plumbing. The PVC Membrane provided a new pool surface, which vastly
improved the club's aesthetics. The end result was like having a brand new
pool. Future plans for the club include resurfacing the pool deck and locker
rooms using our RecDeck PVC Flooring System.

Bellefaire JCB, founded in 1868 as an orphanage in northeast Ohio, now serves
as a residential treatment facility to children, adolescents and adults with a
broad spectrum of varying needs. When they sought to enhance their indoor
swimming pool and shower rooms, our RenoSys PVC Membrane System and RecDeck
PVC Flooring System provided the special qualities needed for their unique, 24
hour access facility.

Senator’s Ridge is located in the Northern Atlanta area, developed in the early 90’s. The gated swim and tennis community lies nestled in the southwest foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

RenoSys Corporation was contracted to install the Infinity Series PVC Membrane in all three pools due to the overwhelming loss of water each season for the facility. Senator’s Ridge year after year had replaced the dramatic caulk joints that were believed to be the reason for losing so much water. After installing the Infinity system there was no longer a loss of water and a great sense of relief among the home owner’s association.

“ We couldn’t be happier with the RenoSys system, the elimination of water loss and over all feel of the aquatic facility is something we stand proud of! ” – Lori Cylbulskis

Tired of having to annually paint the pool and to periodically identify and repair leaks in their old gutter system Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma, contracted with RenoSys to provide a new stainless steel DuraTech gutter along with a full PVC Liner installation which was mechanically connected directly to the bottom of the integral pool return/supply stainless gutter system. The use of a white interior membrane, combined with French Blue racing lanes makes for a nice appearance. The finished project is an attractive and easy to maintain completely watertight solution to a commonly encountered series of public pool problems.

Caribbean Cove Water Park in Indianapolis, IN is a family friendly environment with numerous waterslides and features. They had an issue with a smaller slide in their zero depth section; kids were climbing on top of the structure, and falling off. There was a pad put in place in 2009 to absorb some of the impact; yet, Caribbean Cove was never happy with this initial system. This system basically consisted of foam glued to the bottom of the pool and covered with a vinyl liner. It was not visually appealing in an otherwise beautiful facility, and most importantly, provided little to no impact resistance after only one year in use.

RenoSys was contracted in December of 2010 to provide a safety padding that fit around this play structure. RenoSys staff made multiple site visits before the project even began to template the area around the slide, as well as to gather information as to exactly what this water park expected in terms of functionality and aesthetics. RenoSys fabricated and installed a safety padding system that not only conforms to the specifications of the project; but looks great!

When the decision makers at Mattoon, IL finally had to renovate their pool in 2011, they knew just what to do. Back in 1992 they had ordered a RenoSys PVC Pool Shell and received nearly two decades of service out of that investment. Lytle Park Pool, one of the largest swimming pools in the country, contains over two million gallons of water, so a leaky pool is not an option. While the membrane was beginning to show it’s age, it was because of the stringent IL State Regulations requiring new main drains and lines to achieve anti-entrapment compliance that the decision was made to finally replace the original membrane.

In order to improve on the already exceptional performance of the original membrane, RenoSys recommended upgrading the membrane from it’s standard product to the Extra UV and Chlorine resistant Infinity grade, and further suggested implementing the use of a Stainless Steel Compression Flange, which is welded directly to the bottom of the existing Stainless Steel Gutter. This component eliminates the caulk joint between the stainless steel gutter and the concrete wall, creating a continuous watertight cohesive transition from wall to floor. These upgrades were approved by the town without hesitation. The board agreed that with the experience they had with their original membrane, they trusted RenoSys to recommend the best total solution to their problems.

The old membrane was successfully removed – illustrated. Fabrication and installation of the new Stainless Steel Compression Flange and new VGB Compliant drains were completed. Installation of the new RenoSys PVC Membrane System is underway and on schedule for completion in plenty of time for Memorial Day 2011. You can watch this installation in process as we post regular feeds of the progress.

The Pittsburgh Field Club pool was originally built in 1966 and was badly in need of an update. RenoSys was contracted to do a major upgrade employing a full range of our product systems to bring the facilities up to the clubs high standards.

A decision was made to recycle the pools and install modern aquatic solutions but to reuse 90% of the pools existing infrastructure. This decision to recycle saved the Club approximately $1,150,000 over a full rebuild and freed up cash for the club perform additional projects.

Work Scope included an all new plumbing and mechanical room upgrade and new plumbing runs to the pools, new main drains, a new DuraTech Stainless Steel Gutter with PVC Grating, all new deck and safety equipment, and the installation of a new RenoSys PVC Pool Shell membrane.

A decision was made to make the wading pool a zero depth entry pool which required the shallowing of the old pool. After replumbing, a new slip resistant textured RenoSys PVC Pool Shell was installed for the interior surface of the wading pool. Installing high fun value aquatic spray play features topped off the renovation of the new facility.
